Marco Roodzant graduated in Electronics from Delft University and has worked for more than 25 years at ACE Associated Computer Experts in various roles: as a software engineer, porting Unix operating systems; as a Product Manager for the ACE Unix distribution; as a Technical Consultant; and in Technical Marketing. He currently is VP of Marketing and Sales for the ACE group. Next to his activities at ACE he has worked in standardization projects such as Posix and X-Open and has been an independent consultant in the Supercomputing area.
Abstract:
The CoSy compiler development system is a professional ACE product used in both industry and academia for advanced compiler construction and research. In the talk, the various phases of the product, including the original research, productization and commercialization, will be explained. The failures, diversions and successes will not be hidden. Some of the unique technical aspects of CoSy will be covered at a high level. The model of cooperation in the CoSy network is explained as a basis for further discussion on the potential use of CoSy in Singapore.
